The Seeds of BeeLifeInfo
BeeLifeInfo.com was born from a shared passion for bees and a commitment to education. Our journey began in 2015 when Dr. Rowan Salish, then a respected apiologist at the University of Washington, crossed paths with Jasper Emerald, a charismatic science communicator with a growing YouTube following.
A Meeting of Minds
Rowan and Jasper quickly realized they shared a common goal: to make bee science accessible to everyone. They saw a gap in the online world for a comprehensive, user-friendly resource on all things bee-related. Thus, the idea for BeeLifeInfo.com was born.
From Concept to Reality
In 2016, Rowan took a leap of faith, leaving his academic position to fully dedicate himself to this new venture. Jasper joined as Lead Researcher and Content Director, bringing his expertise in digital communication and environmental science.
Growing Our Hive
As we built our website, we also built our team. We brought on board passionate writers, researchers, and beekeepers from across the Pacific Northwest. Each team member brings a unique perspective and set of skills, united by our love for bees.
